It was a big week for Thompsonite Megan Szabo at last week's Manitoba Games.
The 12 year old won five medals, four individual and one with a team. She competed for the Norman region and won almost a third of the medals for the region.
Szabo says she prepared for the events and didn't let the nerves get the best of her.
Megan Szabo's big week at the Manitoba Games might've been harder for her mother and team manager.
Agnes Szabo which manages the Athletics team for the Norman region was extremely nervous to watch her daughter and other participants compete on the track.
The Norman region won a combined 16 medals during the week.
